A Certified Advocate is a vetted local nonprofit or social services organisation that posts Asks on behalf of the individuals and families they serve. When you fulfil an Ask, your item goes directly to a neighbor in need — coordinated by an org that knows them.

To become a Certified Advocate, an organisation applies and is reviewed by Sellcurb. We verify nonprofit status, confirm the org can coordinate pickup of gifted items, and check that they serve the local community. Verification is manual and thorough — not a rubber stamp.
